Antique Grand Lodge Medal Jewel RAOB
Antique Grand Lodge Medal Jewel RAOB
A striking vintage jewel from the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB), Grand Lodge of England. This ornate piece features a detailed buffalo bust in gilt metalwork, suspended from a blue enamel ribbon bearing the R.A.O.B. G.L.E. insignia. The white and blue enamel shield is engraved with "SIR Wm QUICK" and "LODGE No 3552," marking it as a personal presentation medal for a specific lodge officer. The RAOB, one of Britain's most significant fraternal organisations, has maintained lodges across the UK and throughout the former British Empire for over two centuries. Because this is Lodge No. 3552, it fits perfectly into that early 1920s timeframe. A treasured artefact reflecting the Order's distinguished heritage and ceremonial traditions. this is the main medal of a larger chain this is the only bit of the chain we have for sale, but there is a picture added to show you how it would of once looked
