Exquisite Victorian walnut writing slope, circa 1860s–1890s, featuring a graceful domed lid with brass escutcheon. Two lift-up storage compartments provide generous space, whilst dedicated pen and ink bottle holders accommodate the included period crown-top bottles. A subtle stress crack on the lid enhances its authentic patina without compromising function or charm. Comes with its key and locks and unlocks without any problems, It has just had the leather replaced so will be good for another 100 years. A distinguished addition to any collector's desk or display.
